CCAR Virtual Training Requirements

CCAR Training utilizes the Adobe Connect Platform to hold all our CCAR hosted training programs here in CT.  As we have been utilizing the platform for a variety of trainings and webinars for the past five years, we have come up with a list of technical requirements that will ensure you will have a meaningful training experience with us.

If you have never attended an Adobe Connect meeting before:

Test your connection: https://ccar.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm

Please download and review the CCAR Training Tutorial:  Adobe Connect How-To

CCAR hosted Training Events Require:

A laptop, desktop (pc or mac), webcam, separate headset with mic and audio capability are required to attend.

We cannot allow the use of tablets, ipads or smartphones as they have limited capabilities to use the platform for our intended training purposes.

All users must listen to class sessions using headphones, not computer speakers, to avoid feedback when their microphones are enabled. If you have a built-in microphone that you prefer to use (such as those on many newer Macs), you must use basic headphones or earbuds in conjunction with the built-in microphone, or else there will be feedback problems with the audio. Please make sure that you have your headset in time for the first class session.

-Test Your Headset: You should test your headset in advance of your first class. Your instructor will give you a link to an Adobe Connect room for testing, which has instructions on how to run the Audio Setup Wizard and how to check your webcam if your class will be using it.

-PC: A USB-based microphone and headset seems to work best. We recommend the Logitech Premium USB Headset 350 or the Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Headset, but other standard microphone-headset arrangements are supported. If your computer has a built-in microphone that you wish to use, then you only need standard headphones or earbuds.

-Mac: If your Mac has a built-in microphone that you wish to use, then you only need standard headphones or earbuds. Otherwise, we recommend a USB headset, and recommend using the Logitech ClearChat Comfort USB Headset, but other standard microphone/headset/earbud arrangements are supported.

Additional Requirements for Online Capabilities

System requirements must meet the standards below. Please connect with us if you need assistance determining if your equipment meets them.
