Registration Policies
The following guidelines are meant to provide clarity for our CCAR hosted events. As CCAR Authorized Facilitators are independent contractors, their policies for registration are left to their discretion, however our policies regarding attendance should be followed across the board.
If you have any questions, please let us know at cart1@ccar.us or 860.244.2227.
CCAR relies on accurate attendance counts to make important arrangements for our Training Programs. If an attendee needs to withdraw from a training program, they must inform us in writing via email.
No refunds will be available for cancellations within one week of the training program. No exceptions. Please take this into account when you sign up for a training program. If you have cancelled ahead of that time frame, but have received training materials, your refund will be less the amount of materials.
We cannot refund payments that have been made by debit cards regardless of when you cancel your training. We can only offer a credit towards a a future offering.
CCAR reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any training program for any reason, including canceling a training program that does not meet minimum registration requirements or canceling a training program due to inclement weather. If CCAR cancels a training program, paid registrants will be given full refunds. Rescheduled training program information will be sent out to all participants.
If you have registered for a CCAR Training Program and traveling may be hazardous the day of the training program, please use your own judgment when deciding to attend. Those who cannot attend a training program because of inclement weather should contact CCAR office and refund decisions will be made on an individual basis.
If you miss any portion of a CCAR Training, for any reason, you need to speak with your CCAR Authorized Facilitator immediately. It is up to the Facilitators' discretion how the material missed may be made up and this may include a make up of time missed at an upcoming class. CEU Awards will be held until the missed time has been completed to the Facilitator's satisfaction. CCAR cannot award partial CEUs.
Questions/Concerns should be brought to our attention at cart@ccar.us.

While participating in events held or sponsored by CCAR (Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery) “social distancing” must be practiced and face coverings worn at all times to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19. While many states accept the CCAR training programs towards certification, and/or recertification, many states have requirements that may prohibit the use of credit hours earned for self-paced study or online programs. We have worked with many states to have our programs accepted. Still, in this time of flux due to the pandemic, we strongly encourage you to check with your local certification board before registering for a class to ensure the hours will count towards your state's certification.
For example: In New York, specifically, there is a requirement that no prework/self-study is accepted toward certification and all training must be conducted by an authorized trainer. Please reach out to the New York Certification Board NYCB for more information about their requirements.
